In celebration of the achievements of this years' bmibaby Elite League, on the eve of the Playoff Finals weekend at the National Ice Centre, the Gateway Hotel in Nottingham played host to the Man of Ice Awards Ceremony.
This prestigious event - to be televised on Sky Sports - showcased the bmibaby Elite League, the highest level of professional ice hockey in the UK and rewarded its star performers.
The Awards
Supporters across the land, together with team coaches decided the winners of categories including amongst others, the Netminder of the Year, Defenceman of the Year, Forward of the Year, Player of the Year and Coach of the Year.
Ten prizes were awarded at what was the off-ice highlight of the season attended by Elite League and member club officials, sponsors, team coaches, players and supporters - truly a celebration of the Elite amongst the Elite.
